That’s what I say!

Translation: They want a LIB to determine that.

Oh that looks scary. Libs might have a meltdown

Just like ending prohibition ended the funding of the american mafia?

Just because you don’t like the answer doesn’t mean he was dodging.

I think it went mainstream after Columbine.

There’s always been a concerted effort to restrict firearm rights by the more… “intellectual” types.

But I think Columbine is where hoplophobia went mainstream and you had large scale movements of useful idiots rail against firearm ownership and the right to bear arms.

They just went from alcohol to drugs…and other Mafia stuff.

Do you think decriminalizing drugs here, will put a big dent in the Mexican cartel’s power and influence? If we take away their revenue stream, that will hurt them

Because black people demanded they be.

That’s true but it’s also true that crack is more addictive than coke because users get a faster and more intense high due to its more concentrated nature and the fact that they smoke it. And it’s a shorter high, so they want another hit sooner. It makes it a more insidious and dangerous form of the same drug.

It’s a drug dealer’s dream drug.

Compared to powder sale you use very little cocaine in production. So you can make magnitudes of greater profit off of your weight in powder.

I cant see anything at this point taking away the Mexican Cartels power and influence. Mexico is pretty much run by them now.

Drugs are only one source of revenue stream for them. Like most multi billion dollar business’s, take or reduce one revenue stream and they’ll pivot. For instance right now there seems to be a boom in human smuggling.
With all the regulation, taxes, and requirements to sell pot “legally” in the US, it’s still cheaper to buy pot sourced on the “black market” from Mexico.
Decriminalization will will do nothing but add more users. Any consumer will ALWAYS look for the cheaper product to save a buck.
The Cartels are happy to oblige, and aren’t going anywhere.

Wrong, and wrong.

I use cannabis. I go to the dispensary, by choice. I know exactly what I am getting.

Using any drug is not a problem. Abusing, becoming addicted to drugs is a health issue, not a criminal issue.

Most drug users are quite capable of keeping to moderate use, and can be beneficial.

Whether it is pot, scotch, coffee, ecstasy, LSD, wine, and others.

Meth and Opiates are quite addictive…much more difficult to keep those in check.
But again, that is a medical issue, and should be treated as such.

See Portugal for more info.

Ok, I promise not to buy Mexican guns.
