I think so. My ex-sister-in-law is a Yat. They kinda sound like they’re from Brooklyn. My mother hypothesized it was a port city thing (an amalgamation of a bunch of accents).

all of politics now appears to me as a big colossal joke. Democrats couldnt win so they went nuts on schemes with us mail ballots, unconstitutional last second changes to election laws from leftist courts, factors of magnitude less ballot rejections despite factors of magnitude MORE ballots…

True story.

When I was in junior high I participated in one of those trips to Washington DC that lots of kids from everywhere go to. One very cold winter … but I digress … in the hotel’s chow hall I found myself sitting across from a fellow with an outrageous North East accent who told me that I didn’t have as bad of an accent as the other Texans. I politely thanked him but have occasionally been entertained about the encounter till this very day.

When it comes to accepts the English speaking world is effectively pretty relaxed about such matters unlike the French who, at least according to Professor Higgins, don’t care what you do just so long as you pronounce it correctly.
