Oh., You’re talking about going outside the group insurance that was offered by your employer. Yes, you could do that any time you wanted to. However, it was not a cheaper option.

Not sure what you mean. There are tons of plans with varying benefits and quality on the marketplace around here.

You could have bought health insurance between jobs. You can refuse to take your employers health insurance and buy on the marketplace. You repeatedly said you couldnt. Now you’re changing your argument - moving the goalposts.
