Personally I’m the last one who cares if state governors want to come up with plans to help their own uninsured. Then Governor Romney’s plan actually hasn’t been so bad for health care in Massachusetts.

The federal effort hasn’t opened up competition, though —some major insurers are withdrawing from state exchanges. And all you had to do to find out how difficult registering or getting through to a rep was when the ACA became law was sit in a neighborhood coffee shop & listen to surrounding conversation.

The “federal effort” isn’t about competition, it’s about availability and affordability. Major insurers are withdrawing from state exchanges because of what the republicans have been doing to the ACA. I had no problem getting through to a rep.

Oh., You’re talking about going outside the group insurance that was offered by your employer. Yes, you could do that any time you wanted to. However, it was not a cheaper option.

Not sure what you mean. There are tons of plans with varying benefits and quality on the marketplace around here.
