What's Going on in Texas?

Not really, you have no way of knowing if the people who voted for him were republicans. Neither does Texas, they don’t do party affiliation officially and primaries are open.

from OPEN-PRIMARIES | HOME

Registration:

  • Texas has nonpartisan registration. There is no option to affiliate with a political party on the voter registration form.

Details of voting in congressional and state primary elections:

  • Voters do not declare affiliation with a party in order to vote in the primary elections, but they must choose one party’s ballot.

  • Voters are only tied to party affiliation within the election cycle if there is a runoff.

  • Texas voters are not held to past affiliations from election to election.

'Damn the facts, full speed ahead".

Did you even read that? Voters can only choose one party’s ballot. Yes I’m sure Democrats in a hard fought primary between Biden and Sanders picked the Republican ballot.

Any registered voter can vote in either primary. Bernie never had a chance of winning in TX.

Uh huh.

Clearly he is representative of never Trumper Republicans. They are a sorry lot.

Democrat ballots, 226,588 total. Bernie won over Biden there, 84,224 to 53,297.

Republican ballots, 42,280 total. Clearly Democrats were flocking to vote in the Republican primary. Lol.
