Obviously you did read my post. Why am I surprised.

You are making a point that I am not making…

My position is simple… you do not need the government to persecute you in order to claim asylum.

No you need them to persecute or fail to provide the protection. IE it is all about the government actions. You are playing stupid word games.

Have you looked at the application for US asylum yet? Might help you a bit

Didn’t have to I looked up the law. I posted the exact quote from it. An application is not the law. It starts the process. Then they have to prove what I posted through the credible fear screening. If an application is all that was needed there would be no need for a hearing. Tell us what in the application voids the actual law?

do keep up. I said over and over again either the government persecuting them OR the government failing to protect them from persecution

This part is nowhere to be found in the actual law.

This part is… but I never disputed this part.

yes, it is, just before the “fail to protect” Might help f you actually read it

The application says nothing about government persecution. Neither does the actual law.

That’s been my only point.

your only point has been your poor reading comprehension?

okay

Yes according to our asylum law.

then who is doing all the persecution of those coming into this country claiming “asylum” ?

They aren’t judges.

Democrats like to pretend they are not elections deniers and that they have in the past tried to overturn elections.

Mmmmmmm

This is projecting. You are the only one adding words into law that do not exist.

Persecution is not limited to just the government. It could be anyone in that country.

oh true they do indeed.

what’s crazy is that they prob dont even realize they do. this detachment from reality is part of their pathology

wrong. it could be anyone in that country AND the government failing to protect you

Nice to see you’ve finally admitted that the government itself doing it is actually in the law. Progress!

Could be the government, could be a neighbor, could be an employer, could be a gang, cartel, etc.
