Which “they” are you talking about? Congress or trump supporters.
Do I think Congress will remove Trump from office? Very unlikely.
Do I think Trump supporters will rise up and try to reinstate him as a dictator? No.
Even though Nixon was elected by a huge margin (one that exceeds even Trumps fantasies), when he was impeached, they public was pretty much done with him.
President Pence will get petitions asking him to pardon Trump, but that’s about the only real response that Trump supporters will have.
I imagine what they will do is, destroy the Republican party. Which is why Republicans will never impeach him unless and until their voters stop supporting him.
Difference is, Nixon lost his support before he was forced out of office. Nixon also had a party loyalty that Trump doesn’t have, I don’t see him resigning for the good of the party.
Wrong…Nixon had party loyalty right up until the tapes came out…and then it crashed…we havent seen trump crash yet because there are no tapes yet…if tapes or something comes out and it doesnt crash then you will be right
Tons of Trump Republicans say they only voted for Trump because the alternative was so much worse. How come people don’t say the opposite? Trump was by far the worst of the two and it’s being proven every day. Hell, just on Twitter.
They will never admit that they got done by a con man.
But you have to give him credit. He was able to say anything and everything at the right time to pull all of this off. Wasn’t it interesting when the Cons use to say that those who voted for Obama were “low information voters”. The irony is classic.
