The two worst crashes of the 20th Century occurred during two Republican Administrations: Herbert Hoover and George W. Bush. So why does anyone associate Stock Market crashes with socialism?

Sorry, but it is impossible to say precisely how the stock market will react to a certain candidate getting elected as president this far out from an election. I recall a lot of people saying the stock market would crash if Trump got elected. It didn’t happen.

Stock valuation is a tricky business, as it involves trying to forecast values of individual companies in perpetuity. In the larger picture, who happens to be president at a certain time in history is a minor variable. Emotions (such as fear, confidence, etc.) can have larger impacts for short periods of times, but I as a layman (in terms of stock valuation) am not about to be bold enough to make a certain prediction as to how stocks will respond months in the future.
