Another step towards complete dependence on government?
An even more divided country?
division between those who know history and the young and naive who believe the socialist lies…
but history never repeats…
I was thinking more along the lines of producers and takers. And city and rural.
I like yours too.
If this garbage keeps up, I’ll be selling my land off for an absolute killing after my kids are all graduated.
Cops don’t actually go on strike. They sick out or refuse to answer everything but emergency calls. This happened in. NYC in like the 70s or 80s when they were just super unhappy about anti corruption investigations.
I’m basically a fancy saloonkeeper and I have to worry about a drunken pic posted on Instagram ruining my career and cops have the ■■■■■■■ nerve to be like, “Not be brutal and unaccountable? Dude I signed up for the unaccountable brutality.”
…cuz they’re lying political bastards?
The “urban city landscape” will change dramatically sooner than 5 years.
I want to just post a laughing smiley but I’m not allowed.
I was just talking about NJ. The large inner cites in NJ are among the worst places to live in the state.
W_and_C:It’s cyclical like many other things. F.e. why do Republicans keep voting for people who promise to cut spending yet never do ?
…cuz they’re lying political bastards?
I think both of us are asking why people vote for said politicians and expect different results, right ?

Yes…but one is a macro concept while I’m focusing more on the micro concept of how Democrats have led these cities for decades with the same poor results across the country…and yet, they keep getting reelected.
W_and_C: Eagle-Keeper:I don’t think that’s the case in most of these inner cities. In NJ the cities that are near NY, yes to some extent, but for the other inner cities by and large the only people moving there are new immigrants.
Not true. I can tell you for sure that Seattle city core is full of young college grads , mostly homegrown

Not true. There’s a great deal of new high end residential and commercial construction in downtown Newark and it’s attracting younger professionals.
Newark is a terrific city with a lot going for it.

That’s good news my friend and am glad for it.

Nonsense. If the results were so poor across the board , every city would have already been abandoned.
But conceptually , it’s similar to people voting GOP and expecting cuts in spending when they already know they won’t , every single time.

I disagree. Where would they go and how?
I think it is a mistake to assume collapse is inevitable if we stop policing the way it’s always been done.
