I think it also has a lot to do with targeting and algorithms. It affects a lot of what people see.

Trumplicans see Donald as a role model and pray to god their kids emulate him.

This is the new normal too, you know.

By the new norm maybe if a Democrat is elected we can declare ā€œnot my Presidentā€ and organize ā€œthe Resistanceā€. Then the outgoing administration can open a lot of investigations of the new incoming President and even if nothing is found charge ā€œobstruction of justiceā€ if he/she tries to stop them.
A special counsel should be charges with bringing indictments for any crimes found of any nature.

LOCK HER UP!

That already happened.

So that’s the old normal…which, of course, is the new normal.

And the outgoing administration didn’t start the Mueller probe nor order any of the FBI probes during the election.

So that ā€œnew normalā€ hasn’t been established yet…although I suspect it’s next up.

Along with an expansion of the ā€œnew normalā€ of an outgoing administration trying to limit the powers of an incoming administration if said administration is a different party from them.

More things to just keep people feeling angry and disempowered rather than to fix anything.

Republicans did that with Obama so they can thank themselves for that norm. If someone seeks to impede an investigation on them, damn right they should be charged with obstruction.

You are.

Nah, just have McConnell tell all the repubs to say no to everything with no regard to whether or not it would be good for the country.

It’s even easier than that.

Not bringing it to the floor means never having to say ā€œnoā€.

I am talking about Presidents not being role models?

Hindsight? They knew as it was happening.

There are plenty of people, none of them are pols.

What’s the new normal? Guilt by accusation rather than proof…

Didn’t mean to answer a post there…

Blocking investigations and seeking to impede them to the fullest extent possible while chanting lock her up after 6 investigations. Thats the norm. Blocking any scotus replacement for a year then hampering investigations into sexual assault accusations because repugs couldnt wait a few weeks to get a guy who thinks a sitting president shouldnt be investigated while in office, thus making impeachment impossible.

Congress impeaches presidents not the Supreme Court. The Dems are the majority now and they are going to do absolutely nothing for the next 2 years except trying to find something to impeach Trump on. In a way, it’s good because it means they will be spending less time finding ways
to screw up the country.
