Except that is exactly what you were doing.

An appeal to pity for the poor children that might suffer because there were asked to wear a mask during a pandemic.

Oh and BTW - the asthma student would receive a medical exemption to mask wearing based on a doctors diagnosis so that appeal to pity doesn’t fly.

WW

No one likes wearing masks.

I would prefer not to have to do so.

I wish that everyone who could get vaccinated would do so so we can stop having to wear them sooner rather than later.

Oh no. I’m not appealing to pity at all. I’m observing the panicky immediate gratification of appearances.

Not only is there no “study” on long term psych effects, none of you Champions % Supporters can even prove the face diapers mandates mitigate anything in the street where it counts.

Man in White Lab Coat said…Must Comply.

Critical Thinking replaced by Critical Theory.

Blind faith in “science.”

Tsk, tsk.

You need to update. Masks are required with vaccination.

You have no problem advocating mask mandates for other people’s kids.

Easy to do from the bleachers I guess.

Because there is a variant that is ripping through the unvaccinated.

Because that transmission is so high, there is more chance of exposure to the vaccinated and thus more chance for break through infections.

Heaven’s forbid we say what children should have to do while attending school.

Is that why?

Is that really why?

You are not part of “we”. Enjoy your

Yes

Yes

No one is an island.

Sure you were with the appeal to thinking about the long term impact of wearing a mask might have on the kiddies while in school.

Still better then dead students or staff because the sniffle factories can’t be bothered to be considerate of other people while in school.

WW

I am vaccinated. What does a “variant ripping through the unvaccinated” have to do with me?

I didn’t appeal to anything. I observed and commented on the lack of studies of such. Given that there are thousands of studies about every aspect of this plague, seems a bit strange.

And given “mandates” seems a bit irresponsible.

You aren’t on Parent’s Island, remember?

Because vaccines don’t work 100%

The idea that one cannot have opinions is dumb.

Especially opinions about public health measures.

However there have been studies regarding the impact of COVID transmission prevention measures and they consistently show that the proper utilization of preventative measures reduces the transmission of the COVID virus.

And? I’m going to have to wear a mask for the rest of my life?

No you will not.

First link -

The estimated secondary attack rate (of all people quarantined who acquired COVID) is <1%

It’s far better than what I could find, but in my opinion not enough for government mandate.

Until when then?

We are at an infection rate and rising that is worse than this time last year.

So… maybe when that stops.

Maybe…

But it won’t stop unless I wear a mask?
