Divorced moms? Widowed moms? Did dud abandon them & make another family somewhere else?

Does she seriously think “single moms” are going to strike it rich? I had one mindless twit in my former unit who blamed her degree in veterinary sciences & what employers were willing to pay her for her living in mom’s basement.

Um, no, dummy, try giving birth while owing student loan debt in an unwed relationship. Yeah, I know, some relationships really are destructive & the kid(s) are really better off if parents part company.

Why can’t these “single moms” live with family, maybe help provide care for elderly parents? Elders would have companionship & kids would be with family.

Why can’t grandma who wears being a grandma on her sleeve feed the not so little ■■■■■ instead of them getting WIC & SNAP? Where’s the sperm donor & why isn’t he feeding his offspring?

Unwed motherhood considered socially acceptable—I don’t need me no mayan to have me no baby—attitudes you’d never hear in countries like India and Nigeria that are mentioned in article?

Feelings of entitlement to something of one’s own in the U S, even if it isn’t affordable? Ease of getting assisted by taxpayer funded programs? Lack of emphasis on extended family in children’s development?

Wouldn’t it be nice if tax payers didn’t have to subsidize the work force of corporations?

Doesn’t it make sense to Walmart’s customers to pay for Walmart’s workers through the products the buy from the store they choose to support? As it stands now, I pay the salries of a work force of a company I choose not to do business with.

Does that make sense?

That was precisely what Trump was trying to do. I believe he backed 15 dollars alone with few items I mention…but libs voted him out of office nor did Nancy Pelosi wanted to give Trump the credit.

I’m not sure what loop holes you are refering to, but yeah, I agree with closing tax loop holes for corps. But this doesn’t balance out the minimum wage issue. If anything, they will cry poor about both…

Trump’s position on 15/hr is squirelly - he said he would support it, then came out against a bill from the house that raised it to 15. Then said he would consider it, then said there would be a major annoucnement, but never made it…

She was addressing Congress. Congress gets the $40k allowance. Congress is responsible for the rules on this.
