What is the rational for the Dodgers to celebrate this type of group who mocks Christians?

I was actually in the ministry (an assistant pastor) in a Southern Baptist church in my younger years. It’s a bit different with Baptists as ministers are allowed to marry, but I still faced a situation where I walked in on another assistant pastor molesting a teenage member of the church.

All I’ll say is I did what I considered the right thing - got the young lady to safety immediately and called the police. What happened next blew my mind. The police did arrest the guy, but I dealt with blowback from the people in the church as they liked this particular assistant pastor.

To make a long story short, it got so bad with that church that I left the ministry never to return. It was a while before I could even enter another church. It was only with time and maturity that I realized that there were good churches where that type of thing would be handled correctly - but by that time it had left a mark on me. If faced with the situation again, I would do the exact same thing again. I know that I did the right thing in that situation, whatever the consequences may have been.

I don’t think the MLB should have invited that group. Not an appropriate venue for that kind of satire.
