General policies. Sure. How they are enacted or if they are is a different story. Remember that Obamacare was going to be repealed on day 1? Or Mexico was going to pay to build a border wall?
This is how these threads work:
A Biden supporter says “I like policy ‘X’.”
Someone who doesn’t like Biden then replies on a variety of ways:
- That will never work.
- That’s not different than his predecessor
- Let me grill you on the minutiae that won’t be decided until the policy is enacted.
Probably others as well. The point is, these threads are to shoot down any and all responses regardless of what the response is. What’s the point? Wait and see what actually is enacted and assess based on outcomes. Right now no policies have been enacted and there are no outcomes to assess.
You are so right. I think It’s about big donors. Wind mills and solar panel farms are blight also… These massive industrial footprints removing land for wildlife.
And doesn’t wind cool the planet? So taking the energy out of the wind may cause warming.
The only response is vague stuff about renewables.
Mexico has been paying to guard the border for 3 years and we have a lot of nice new wall.
BUt, I guess you are saying you are looking forward to caravans and more illegal immigration.
X as in variable. Any policy could be substituted.
I know. People will say that’s a cop out. I have ideas of what he might do based on his campaign, what he has said since being elected and from his personnel choices. I don’t know what those ideas will look like when policy is enacted and definitely don’t know specifics.

Love to see one.
I knew what Trump’s were before he was elected. I didn’t know he was actually going to do it.

Increased taxes on corporations and the wealthy. I think I’ve said this ad nauseam, but I’m all about fiscal responsibility. If we’re going to spend, you have to have the income to pay for it. Cutting taxes did not “pay for itself” and spending wasn’t reduced. I’d rather have low spending and low taxes. If that’s not an option, I’ll take high taxes and high spending over the current low taxes and high spending.
Trump increased taxes on the rich by cutting the state tax deduction for high earners. And he’s taxing China with Tariffs…

Revenue as a percent of GDP fell following the tax cuts. Whatever additional revenue was generated didn’t match the economy.
Over that same time period, the deficit increased as a percent of GDP.
Federal income fell as a percentage of GDP and the deficit increased as a percentage of GDP throughout Trump’s term, even before COVID. I think that is unacceptable for any president and if we’re not going to decrease spending, increase revenues.
The last administration Biden was involved with failed spectacularly at green energy initiatives and squandered taxpayer money. There’s no reason whatsoever to believe that this one will be any different, other than they’ll put America at a competitive disadvantage on energy.

Progs aren’t really into policies. They tend to be more abstract thinkers.

Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are predicting a faster economic recovery with the Dems in charge. I guess we’ll see.
“Democrats are likely to pass further fiscal stimulus in Q1,” Goldman Sachs economists wrote in a client note.
“With the likelihood of further fiscal expansion, this gives us greater confidence that the recovery in the US economy will be on a solid footing,” Morgan Stanley economists wrote in a note to clients Wednesday.
I am looking forward to improvements to public transportation infrastructure.
NY/NJ desperately needs a new rail tunnel under the Hudson River.
Blocked by trump and his minions to exact revenge for those being blue states.

Good for Business and keeping us out of wars. MIddle east peace accords. Pushing back against the mass murdering CCP.
These are not any specific policies.
It’s not like Biden has a specific policy call get into wars or bad for business.
