There’s nothing in any of this that’s an attack on religion.

Casinos vs. Churches is.

Thanksgiving wasn’t mentioned in the op.

I was kind of with Alito until he got to the “we’re not even allowed to say certain things”…marriage is a union between one man and one woman.

On the contrary, you can say that all you want.

I do agree that in the case of things like the bakery or the exemption from birth control in organizations where no one’s asking for it…people need to grow a pair. Plenty of bakers in the world…just go shop elsewhere.

I disagree that bigotry should be a thing even if no one is hurt because of it.

I wasn’t responding to the OP with that.

Casinos v churches is a money thing not a religious thing.

Actually you really can’t.

Sure you can.

It’s a 1st Amendment thing.

No, you can’t. Shunning is back in style.

I’m saying why Nevada favored casinos over churches.

So what?

It doesn’t matter why, they aren’t allowed to.

Then they can be sued.

I appreciate it when the Justices speak their minds at these events.

I look forward to reading his remarks and commenting. I am very interested considering he was the lone dissent in Westboro Baptist Church. Was he consistent?

Gotta prove that.

Hold unpopular opinions.

Don’t expect to be popular when you do.

Doesn’t stop you from holding them.

Or they could follow the Constitution like they swore to.

But that’s why there’s an avenue for redress in the Constitution.

It’s not popularity.

It stops one from expressing them, which is of course the intent.
