What has become of the Democratic Party?

Depends on the individual. Critprigism is merely based on the ideology of liberal arts professors and those who drink their coolaid. In comparison the Republican Party and Conservatism values and desires to hold on to traditional values.

Social issues are individual? Or societal?

Tn was a solid blue at one point but is now solid red.

I personally have my own social values, don’t you?

I don’t think we’re talking about the same thing.

I have my own individual values.

It was you (I believe) who coined the term “Critprigism”. I assume you believe there’s an ideology behind it, correct?

Absolutely.

I would attribute fatherless homes more to the war on poverty programs than the civil rights act. But they all sort of swept in as a package, so I can see how you might say that.

Then proceeded to send people off to Vietnam in even greater numbers.

Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country.

Die in the jungle, killed by some 5 foot tall Vietnamese kid. That’s what I can do for my country.

You are correct. I mistakenly lumped them together but the point was, these fatherless homes were financially government incentivized.

Sadly yes but also society as a whole including politicians tended to ignore (for want of a better word) Vietnam veterans because it was a reminder of how America had been humbled. Thankfully over the following decades that changed.

Advice that no one can argue with and I agree with what he says. The challenge is the elimination of traditional entry level jobs due to technology.

Technology including AI and automation has significantly reduced the traditional low-paying, entry-level jobs. i was reading that in the US alone nearly 1 million office and administrative jobs may be lost by 2030, with 26% of office and 20% of customer service roles at high risk.

For customer service roles I can attest that AI has reduced the number of people we hire and have significantly reduced the number of human customer service roles. A pilot project has found that about 60% of people who call cannot now differentiate between our AI and a live human.

Fast food outlets are using AI for customers ordering and many have automated ordering even in store installed so orders are not taken by a human.

But right now yes, if you want to work you can do so, but there is no doubt in the coming decades there will be more people going after fewer jobs.

My grandchildren are going to living in a very different world that I grew up in.

Side note (I’ll get back to the rest later):
Strictly speaking AI does not eliminate many entry level jobs.
It is robotics that does that.

I will now return to the topic.

And in regards to the topic as well as addressing @Nemesis, the open borders policy of today’s Democrats would be harmful in that regards as well.

Shhhhh.

AI is eliminating entry level jobs. Not all of them but reducing the number of employees needed at a location.
