What happens if Mueller can't release information?

Thanks for the clarification.

These explanations make sense.

This wouldn’t affect the report on the investigation based on things other than the grand jury. I presume the reason Grand Jury testimony isn’t made public is because it is all one sided and could prejudice any case. Hopefully the final report won’t be that way.

I’m thinking there is a false assumption in that if something is presented to the Grand Jury, it can’t be used in any other way.

Let’s say…

Person A give a deposition and attests to facts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in May.

Person A is then called before a Grand Jury and presents 1, 2, 4, and 5 in June (omitting 3).

The Grand Jury testimony may be sealed, but facts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 (all) can still be included in a Congressional report based on the May deposition outside the Grand Jury.

This notion that everything presented to the jury becomes secret is weird.

Prosecutor: do you solemnly swear blah, blah, blah?

Witness: I do.

P: state your name and occupation.

W: Biff Boffson. Special Agent, FBI.

P: not…any…more.

Only a traitor wouldn’t want that report released.

No mystery why trump and his supporters are scared silly over this coming report.

If this happens a pallet of documents are gonna fall of a truck in front of the NYT.

Also this really is not going to happen.
