Playing violin, drawing realistic animals (although I have more or less strayed away from this…just haven’t had the time or thought about doing it), and baking. Sometimes I’ll write and I view each writing assignment like an assignment to do another piece of my artwork. But I don’t write on a regular basis.

I used to be into martial arts (karate and jiu jitsu) but I can’t now given that I have rods in my legs that are thicker than my thumb, and the screws keeping them in place start to hurt when they rub up against muscle/bone when I move my leg.

I got to purple “advanced” belt-a purple belt with a black stripe through it. To advance to brown belt, I had to memorize and execute a number of “katas” (series of moves) and I just couldn’t do it. Combined with my hip issues, my karate days are long gone. :

I love coloring books! They are so relaxing. I think if you watched some how-to tutorials, you’d be on your way to sketching and then drawing. The hardest part imo is getting the proportions right on a full-figure drawing.

What is your favorite era and composer? For me it’s Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky, but my favorite era would be the Romantic period followed by the Baroque period. The timbre (flavor) of the two differ a bit, with the Baroque being more “rigid” and “robust,” whereas the Romantic is more expressive, imo.

Professional? My daughter’s just got a point and shoot canon, but it has a damn good zoom lens on it. She mostly does wildlife, and she was nowhere near this guy.

That’s gorgeous!

Was it taken by any chance on the east coast?

I do believe moose are common in Maine, maybe Vermont.

Nope, genetic deformity.

Sounds painful.

Hope you’re doing well.

No, it was here in CO. Either in Rocky Mountain National Park, or at this place called Brainard Lake.

I’m enjoying the “Wild Feathers” painting, have mostly color mixing to do now. Will display when done.

Dimensions make quality products. I would also recommend online Michaels and Joann to order materials

Orders are easily tracked, come during promised timeline—it’s ironic, but I received my order a few days earlier from Michaels, and it was shipped from Texas, yet we’ve had delays from local senders & holdups in the U S post office one town over :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

They send quality products with no shipping issues and welcome reviews on their sites.

I’m what I refer to as a “natural” photographer. I’ve lost more than one job because I tell them “no” I will only do minimal post processing of the images.

Trying again. Have never posted with a photo. Here’s Wild Feathers, by Dimensions. Just finished it.

I have not studied martial arts in decades. But I was pounding on the heavy bag at the gym and the 7th degree blackbelt Korean owner of a local studio complimented me and ask if I wanted to workout at his place. It gave my over-inflated ego an unneeded boost.

Woodworking, photography, playing guitar…and have built a couple. Here’s a project I just finished up. A console/ sideboard table. All maple, except the drawer box, which is poplar.
