He was wrong by one generation, that doesn’t make it a lie. There was also some confusion because his father had to go through a hell of a mess to get back into the US after going back to Germany.
Trump’s father, Fred Trump, was born in New York. Trump’s grandfather, Friedrich Trump, was born in the German village of Kallstadt.
According to a German historian, Friedrich Trump immigrated to the US in 1885, escaping poverty and allegedly catering to miners during the Gold Rush in the western US. He returned to Germany in 1901, fell in love with Elisabeth Christ. The two married and returned to the US.
Friedrich attempted to return to Germany in 1905 when Christ became homesick, but was ejected from Germany and ordered not to return after it became apparent he failed to perform mandatory military service. The couple returned to the US on a ship bound for Pennsylvania. Christ was three months pregnant with Fred at the time. Their son was born in New York City.
Prove it’s a lie rather than his reliance on a confused family rendition of his history.

Wow.
You do love you some trump.
Your absurd contortions to protect your messiah are amusing.
Here - take a stab at some more:

How singularly quaint to suggest that the impeached president doesn’t lie; he “says a hell of a lot of things that are partially true or just plain wrong”. So the excuse for Trump is that he is so incompetent he doesn’t know what he is talking about.
My only affection is for truth and fairness.
I’m not going to play your stupid partisan game all night.
You excused the endless lies of Obama and Clinton but are obsessed with labeling everything even questionably accurate out of Trump’s mouth as a lie.
There nothing fair, reasonable, nor honest in your position so I’m done with it.

You can’t imagine just how little your completely biased opinion matters.
When you become a citizen of the US and have a vote to cast your views will matter as much as the other 140 million or so voters in the US.
Go deal with your own countries issues and problems and go back to blaming Trump for the fires down there due to your own gov’ts malfeasance and of course the almost 200 arsonists that have been arrested.
When you have handled that your opinion on what a lie is or isn’t will at least have some credibility.

Yes, in my opinion it is. Your opinion is only worth what I determine since you are replying to my post.
Yes it is typical because there’s always a limit to how much bait I’m going to take and how much time I’m going to waste on someone who isn’t interested in an honest conversation to start with.
Is Warren currently the president of the USA? Whataboutism doesn’t cut it when you are trying to rationalise the propensity of the impeached president Trump to lie.

TO review:
I asked you for links to back up your claim that the USSR and UK paid us before we entered WWII and that germany paid us reparations.
Instead of providing links, you provided google terms.
I googled those terms.
The first show WE GAVE SUPPLIES to UK and USSR.
Teh second showed germany didn’t pay us reparations.
You claim victory and run away.

Yeah, yeah.
Ad nauseum.
Don’t forget to throw in “you didn’t build this”
BTW, I was listening to Hannity on my way home tonight. Project Veritas is rocking and rolling on the Bern. Interesting days ahead.
Your analogy is about as relevant as saying that water is wet. That is not what was promised explicitly or implicitly prior to the election.
No we didn’t “give it to them”.
Lend lease provided the equivalent of hundreds of billions of dollars to the US in ceded territories and possessions to the US from Russia and particularly the UK.
Learn some history.
We gutted Germany at the end of the war for hundreds of billions in valuable industrial and technological/intellectual properties and forced labor from POW’s along with the German Public, and for the costs of occupation as reparations for the war,
It isn’t my job to spoon feed the willfully ignorant a hundred years of history.

A verifiable example of why was being referenced, not an anecdotal tale of butthurt.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the butthurt is genuine, but I’d like to something that proves the allegation of how Trump just got something “wrong “.

Sure it does. Unless it doesn’t suit your narrative.
Why would I need a blanket? It is summer here and our average maximum for December 2019 was about 5 C above the average.

Provide a link then.
The link I provided defines lend leases as the mechanism by which the US sent goods to UK and USSR, in return, we got leases on bases.
So, what bases do we have in teh USSR?
But more to th point - this is not remotely the same as the USSR and UK PAYING US before we got into the war, which was your original claim. At best, it was the trading of arms for land. And there reality is we gave WAY MORE than we got - particularly in the case of the USSR.
Here it is again:
And the link you prove lists the reparations recipients from germany:
| 3 |
Recipients |
| 3.1 |
Poland |
| 3.2 |
Greece |
| 3.3 |
Israel |
| 3.4 |
The Netherlands |
| 3.5 |
Yugoslavia |
| 3.6 |

Good question. Donate your blanket. You are safe.
Try soaking it in a bucket of Epsom salts.
