Now, WR, I hardly agree with anything you say, But I was impressed with your defense of Fauci.
And I apologize for being so combative. I think, somehow, we all could tone it down. Starting with me.
The quote, by the way, is from the play âInherit the Wind,â about the Scopes âMonkey Trial,â But it is a true transcript from the actual trial.

Sure hope this continues, and I know that thanks to the PPP loan program, we have been able to re-hire our complete staff, even though there really isnât enough business to warrant it.
When that loan money runs out, not sure where we will be, but for now itâs good news for the crew.
Word of caution - misclassifications seem to exist:
5. The unemployment rate is probably higher than it appears
For the last few months, the Department of Labor has admitted that the official unemployment rate is probably higher because people are not filling out the survey correctly.
The survey allows people to indicate they are employed but absent from work the week the survey was conducted and asks them to list the reason why, such as childcare, medical purposes, school or vacation. The survey instructs those who are employed but are not at work due to coronavirus to be marked as unemployed on temporary layoff.
But the department noted that a higher-than-usual number of people indicated they were employed but not at work for âother reasonsâ and suspect that they are misclassified. While in other years during this time, about 500,000 said they were employed but out of work for âother reasonsâ, in May, that number climbed to 5.4 million.
If those workers âhad been classified as unemployed on temporary layoff, the overall unemployment rate would have been about 3 percentage points higher than reportâ, the Department of Labor said in Mayâs report. The department said it was investigating how it could mitigate the misclassification in the future.

The real unemployment rate is 21.3%

Whatâs the matter? Afraid of a little good news?
The real unemployment rate is going down. Bigly. When the âexpertsâ said it would go waaay up. No spin can change that. Why are you not happy?
Who pumped the gas pedal?
Anyone remember that one time the stock market dipped 10,000 points, then recovered in the same year?

108,000 deaths, 10âs of millions of jobs lost, 13% unemployment, COVID19 not going away yet and starting to see spikes in some areas. Yes, happy days are here again! One month does not a trend make.
