What are all the leftists going to spend their UBI on when so little is being produced?

Do you have a problem with people retiring and/or quitting to stay at home?

My wife quit working to work on her phd. My mother in law AND father in law retired from teaching so that they could spend more time traveling and with their grandkids.

I’m sure their story is not unique…

And you want them to unretire and go back to work…

What UBI is available and if it is available aren’t conservatives getting it too?

Are the positions they retired from no longer needed or could it be that people are choosing not to step into those positions?

You’re changing, deflecting…not playing your silly game. Facts remain. We are millions of workers short then pre-pandemic level…and that’s a fact.

Why are they choosing?

You guys don’t care by the way.

This is just a cudgel.

Unlike inflation which is an actual issue.

My wife’s position was back filled and so were my in laws.

So yes… but I’m sure that’s not the case for every vacated position.

I’m talking about the inevitable Utopian future. Production numbers are way down because so many able-bodied adults are lazy ■■■■■ who just want the producers to pay for their ■■■■■ The idea of UBI was floated out there for a reason. It will eventually happen, and the producers won’t be included.

So it’s not because they should be paid more? It’s because they are lazy.

How dare they not wait for the trickling!?!?!

I haven’t denied that we are short workers. I’m focusing on the why… seems you have a problem with people choosing to stay at home with kids, retire, go back to school etc.

Do you want to force them to go to work? Sounds rather authoritarian

Why do you want to force people to work? Is it bad if people want to stay home with their kids? Change careers? Go back to school? Retire and enjoy their life?

My wife is pretty much out of the work force because we can afford it.

Should she take a crappy job at a Dollar Tree to make them money or enjoy life?

I don’t care why…you’re just making excuses. Now it I wanted to play your silly game I can say we had million of new workers entering the work force…but I didn’t.

Why? Because I’m only going to witness you justifying your own hypocrisy…and believe it or not I’m bored playing that game.

Your wife and in-laws have earned it. I applaud the folks who worked hard and can afford to retire and spend time with family. I’m talking about the 20-somethings who live on a steady diet of gas station food and Fortnite.

How many?

Kudos to her. If you can afford it and are not a drag on society I think that’s awesome.

How many what?

Sounds like conservatives want to force people to work and not let the market determine.

There is a word for that…

If we have millions entering the workforce… then why don’t they want the available jobs?

What is your solution? Force them to work for $12 an hour at hobby lobby?

What hypocrisy is that? I’ve been consistent.

If people don’t want to work and can afford not to… why try to force them?

How do you incentivize a 20 something to work? Should it be by force?
