An economic collapse would spur far more suffering and death than the virus can at this point.

The economy isn’t going to collapse.

Nope.

Good find, really solid article which confirms what most of us have been aware of since February.

The panic was completely unnecessary and we blew up the economy purely out of irrational fear and panic.

Once however the panic was induced by histrionic media reports the only way to quell it was by acceding to a temporary shut down.

Didn’t you say Fauci has been dead on throughout this whole situation? He said in early April every state should implement a stay at home policy.

In March/April it became a necessity due to the panic.

Once however the panic was induced by histrionic media reports the only way to quell it was by acceding to a temporary shut down.

The data changes daily.

That’s not what the epidemiologists say. I think I’ll trust their judgement over that of a partisan poster on a political forum but thanks

This is WAY more contagious than the flu.

The 40K+ deaths we have experienced occurred in 1.5 months with most of the country under stay at home orders.

In no way would we ‘accept’ the normal flu if it spread as fast and effecitintly as CV or if it killed so many so quickly under these lock down orders.

No it isn’t.

Yes we would. We do.

Sorry to say, they would have lost their jobs anyway as the pandemic reaped Italy-like carngange on our communities.

I think people’s opinion on this is very much shaped by where they are on teh time continuum. If you live in rural america, your spikes in COVID cases and deaths are just starting.

There is no way in hell I could operate my business in NJ and E. PA right now, with or without state mandated lockdowns.

There is nothing wrong in my post.

Yes there is. Covid19 is much more transmissible than the common flu.

The deaths from covid 19 have occurred in a 1-1/2 month period under severe social distancing and stay at home orders.

Those are simple verifiable facts.

You said it’s not more contagious than the flu which is not true. The flu’s R0 is 1.7, COVID19’s R0 is 5.7

No, it isn’t.

And we would accept if it was the flu and do. The media has you spooked.

What does RO measure? How is it calculated? Stop listening to the media. Think.
