I admitted it was anecdotal.
It does make sense.
We also have a high age demographic which is a strike against such a low mortality thus far.
PA is second to FL in oldest demographic.
Was told to treat it with plenty of fluids, zyrtec, mucinex and Tylenol if necessary. All was as needed. After the first 4 days I felt pretty good. The issue was with the cough…my rib cage musculature was completely ■■■■■■ up through the first two weeks in January after the cough subsided.

Why wouldn’t you want the POTUS using the power of his bully pulpit to compel Govs to act in accordance with his guidelines?
It’s weird that you would excuse Trump from even this basic presidential responsibility.

Do you have a ventilator at home?

PA’s strict lock down is helping.

No. What are my chances of surviving this virus right now if I need one.
because we were not ready and prepared and if we didnt there would have been a mass rush to the hospitals overrunning them and create a rippled effect that would have resulted in a worse outcome.
We needed (and still need) to buy time to prepare.

When will we be “ready and prepared” and what will tell us?

If you contract COVID and need a ventilator, and don’t get one, you will die.

Ok. And can you prove you will live with one?
I dont know. But that is the discussion we should be having. That was in my post.
The models show that the peak will hit between now and the next 60 days depending on state and area.
After that - there will be a lull until sept and oct.
We should be discussing what we need to do between the peak and Sept (4 months) to ensure we are prepared and ready (And to define what that means).
This is the convo we should be having.
If you are asking me for some ideas- I have some.
I’ll try to type them out latter when i can. Do you have any?

I would agree. I think it was the right amount. I would say mostly because people are buying in to it.
The swine flu pandemic for one aka H1N1 just 10 years ago when over 14,000 Americans died, over 60 million infected and over 300,000 hospitalized, we didn’t shut down the country then or when we’ve been impacted by other global virus/decease outbreaks & pandemics like SARS or Mers-CoV. The reaction to covid19 is one for the history books!

What happens in September?
And if we had…do you think the deaths and cases would have been lower? I do.
