Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez unloaded on the United States criminal justice system Monday; directly comparing American prisons with “Jim Crow, Apartheid, and Slavery.”

“Mass incarceration is our American reality. It is a system whose logic evolved from the same lineage as Jim Crow, American apartheid, & slavery. To end it, we have to change. That means we need to have a real conversation about decarceration & prison abolition in this country,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

The far-left lawmaker made similar comments last week; saying there should be no billionaires throughout the United States.

“‘Billionaires should not exist’ does not mean certain people should not exist. It means no person should have a billion dollars. The ascent of billionaires is a symptom & outcome of an immoral system that tells people affordable insulin is impossible but exploitation is fine,” posted AOC on Twitter.
