Acceptance of gay marriage is the “norm”. So is the State “certifying” those marriages.

No it was purely about equal right like being allowed to visit their dying partners in the hospital which they were denied because they were not “family”
or about allowing their partners access to their pension after they die.
They got their authorization to file taxes jointly, but they kept on whining that people still think it’s gross.
