First, I am NOT going beyond the question. I was addressing a previous assertion. I appreciate that you recognize the truth that the opposition requires we “go beyond the question”. The original assertion was intellectually dishonest.

I will never disagree that Trump is enforcing differently. He’s finally enforcing the law. With zero tolerance. That’s a huge difference. It’s not putting something new in place. It’s just putting enforcement of existing law into action.

We’re just not used to seeing it enforced. We’ve allowed our border to be a sieve for decades. Now that the bar is closed, the process is experiencing DTs. I don’t deny that at all.

And something which has not been done before thus making it NEW.

He didn’t reverse anything. He created an executive order that (unconstitutionally) contradicts current legislation. Zero-Tolerance was about prosecution, kids getting separated was a mix of past legislation and court rulings.

He and everyone else knows that executive order is going to get shot down soon, and then congress will be entirely to blame for not fixing this, which was his plan all along.
