President Trump unloaded on CNN’s senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta Friday morning; calling the reporter totally “unprofessional” and demanding he treat the office of the presidency with “respect.”
The Commander-in-Chief was speaking with reporters on the White House lawn when he was asked to comment on his administration’s decision to suspend Acosta’s press pass.
“I think Jim Acosta is a very unprofessional man. He does this with everybody. He gets paid to do that,” Trump said. “Whether it was me or Ronald Reagan or anybody else, he would have done the same thing.”
“I don’t think he’s a smart person, but he’s got a loud voice,” Trump added.
