Watch LIVE as President Trump delivers his first major public statement regarding his overwhelming acquittal in the United States Senate.

The Senate voted to formally acquit President Trump on two Articles of Impeachment Wednesday afternoon; officially ending the Impeachment Inquiry started by House Democrats last November.

The final votes fell far short of the two-thirds majority needed to convict and remove Donald Trump from the White House.

Utah Senator Mitt Romney was the sole Republican to break rank and vote against the President on Article 1.

“This partisan impeachment will end today,” McConnell said. “But, I fear the threat to our institutions may not. Normally, when a party loses an election, it accepts defeat. … But not this time.”
