Tampa, Florida is set to host this year’s Department of Defense Warrior Games; an amazing opportunity for America’s veterans to challenge themselves and each other through a series of athletic competitions.
Participants in this year’s event include members from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Special Operations Command, and also include members of allied armed forces; including the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and more.
Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Israel Del Toro stopped by the Sean Hannity Show Thursday; urging all Americans to support our veterans.
“The Warrior Games provides an opportunity for our disabled veterans to challenge themselves through athlete competition on the national level and Tampa, with its reputation as a military town, would be honored to show our support for these veterans and their families by hosting the games in 2019,” writes Warrior Games.
“The 2019 Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games will be hosted by U.S. Special Operations Command and held for the first time June 21-30 in Tampa Bay, Florida. Over 300 wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans are expected to participate in the Paralympic-style competition. The athletes will represent the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Special Operations Command. Historically, the Warrior Games has also invited international partner nations, and this year, athletes from the United Kingdom Armed Forces, Australian Defence Force, the Canadian Armed Forces, the Netherlands Defence Force, and the Denmark Defence Force will compete,” adds the organization’s webpage.
