Prove it. Including the Senate vote.

I wasn’t talking about that, I am talking about the Budapest agreement

your irrelevancies become more irrelevant every day

Nice. Switch back and forth to get the oitcome you want.

By the way

Did they?

That right. If you want to push for young men and woman to be killed than you had better be ready to put your money where your mouth is.

You’ve confused yourself.

not switching, I was under the impression we were talking about the Budapest agreement. I don’t care a whit about any friendship treaty we are not party to

Not the Budapest Treaty?

Switch

In agreements involving defense assurances (a war power reserved to the congress), treaty vs executive agreement, is definitely relevant.

no-one ever called it a treaty, why would I? Its an executive agreement. Something the US has been using in FP since its founding.

Oh come now…

Yes you did. In this very thread. I quoted it.

That is all we were doing in Vietnam.
Seems it was not very long, and we had plane loads of body bags coming home from there.

providing weapons to others is not a war power. the assurance we provided was that we would aid them in their defense, not that we would defend them.

Treaty. Your link. First mention.

no you didn’t, and your attempt to do so was entirely dishonest.

was it a treaty to them? I don’t know. I asked you what their standards were in defining a treaty.

was it a treaty to us? No, it wasn’t.

Sure it is subjective.

Russia isn’t on its economic knees.

Russia’s main problem isn’t going to be domestic economy. It’s going to be paying for the war. It does not have the money, it cannot get the money. Under the current prices oil and gas will not make up the deficit. All they can do to make up the difference is print Rubles. Who’s going to take them? What happens when paying for the war stops pentioners money? What happens when soldiers go unpaid? What happens when the oligarchs don’t get paid for the weapons they’re selling to the MoD?

We are providing a lot more than weapons.

that’s the story. (I don’t doubt it).
