this nazi thing is pathetic, especially since the azov bde has been defeated. it no longer exists as a fighting force. in fact, the only military fighting force in ukraine thats nazi now, is the one russia hired. i understand though, be kinda hard for you to go back to “russia is winning its all western propaganda.”

Just to follow this track…what would you like to see happen right now to reduce the risk?

Umm, stop sending them arms, drop the sanctions. Let the EU handle it, they have good reasons to.

OK- what should be the announcement?

“We have decided to stop supporting Ukraine at this point and we have decided to no longer issue sanctions on Russia. We no longer want to defend Ukraine for fear that Russia would cause a nuclear war.”

Something like that?

Why are you asking him…you’re the ones that got us into this mess to begin with…now get us out of it.

Huh? You and I both supported Trump and the GOP defending Ukraine from Russia with military aid.

Yes I support military aid to draw out and protracted war…but that’s not what happening.

Secondly…I blame EU and NATO as well as Putin for this war…you’re unable to put any blame on EU/NATO.

So you got just what you wanted…so get us out of it.

Wait- so you do support military aid to Ukraine?

Yes…small arms only.

Now get us out of it and stop your deflecting.

Huh? So you are for defending Ukraine with small arms only. And you are okay with continuing to send military aid in that form? But you also want us out?

You’re not debating in good faith…

Sounds good to me, throw in that this is EU fight, not ours. Ukraine had years and years to prepare for this as well. It’s not like they didn’t know their neighbor was a bad actor who was likely to come knocking on the door for their old empire back.

This is why I find Democrats to be so obnoxious. They will fight like hell, and spend our national treasure, to defend the borders and sovereignty of a county half way around the world, while at the same time allowing our own country to be invaded under the pretext of “asylum seekers.”

If a nuclear war was to break out between between Russia and the French/British, we wouldn’t be spared.

Most Russian ICBMs and SLBMs weapons are aimed at CONUS. Because we are the largest threat to Russian survival.

If they made the decision to launch a First Strike we would get about 75-85% of the Russian warheads. Regardless of our level of involvement. Because Russia knows that we would be obligated to respond thanks to Article 5.

We are in this whether we like it or not. We never had a choice in the matter.

We would be essentially “surrendering” for no gain on our end.

The failure of creating a lasting peace in the aftermath of the Cold War is a joint Russian/NATO/United States failure. EU didn’t exist at the time but we can go ahead and throw them into the blame game as well since they didn’t help matters in the early to mid 2000s.

But we didn’t make the decision to invade a sovereign nation. That was all on Russia. They didn’t even bother talking to NATO or even the United States bilaterally. They made declarations and threats, rather than inviting us to a sit down where their concerns could be discussed for future negotiations. They made a unilateral decision to start a war in Europe.

They brought this on theirselves. And they know that. They gambled. And now they are losing.

Defending is a very strong word.

We have recognized their status as a belligerent and given them weapons needed to fight the Russians on a mostly equal footing. In some cases (such as HIMARS), we’ve given them better equipment than the Russians have available.

They aren’t South Vietnam or South Korea in the Korean War. We aren’t defending them so much as enabling them to fight to a conclusion where they have the upper hand in post war negotiations. And throwing some sanctions at the Russians to make it harder on them.

Which is about as far as we need to go.

You are correct. Biden and the Democrats are garbage in regards to the US border. That should be a national priority. But that would harm their political goals long term.

So yes the hypocrisy is pretty gross. But at the same time, we just can’t walk away from the European crisis either.

Did you support the GOP and Trump when they spent our national treasure to provide military aid to Ukraine?

OK and if Russia launches nuclear weapons at Ukraine…you would suggest that we do…nothing? A short time after the nukes land we should say…

“We are not interested in getting involved in a regional conflict.”

You guys notice how libs and neo-cons are always progressing there talking points without even thinking about consequences of their actions…and then ask what we should do about it?

Again they want us to answer/fix there ■■■■■■■ screw-ups.
