The Russian’s would be foolish to enter Kiev, better to encircle and isolate it.

This attack has been a fools errand.

While Russia victory is certain. The fight in the Ukrainian people will never be subdued.

China has blood on its hands for looking away. The Russian people are killing their own extended family. Zelenski is likely in a Soviet era hardened bunker that Russia knows will be extremely difficult to penetrate.

All for a slightly more prosperous Ukraine that made the Russian oligarchs envious. I see this as a needless civil war that only one side expected or wanted. It was a dirty move by Putin. Russia cast aside the Ukraine and now with oil revenue wants her back no matter how much beating it takes.
Stupid all around.

Trump knows the situation and leadership and could be used as a special envoy to broker peace.

The key players on the stage right now are Putin and Xi. Putin is a child of St Petersburg (Leningrad when he grew up) and a true believer in what was the Soviet Empire. And like any all-powerful despot for life, he pursues his personal goals. Xi is cut from the same cloth. Neither actually cares about the common man in their nation, yet are fierce nationalists. And they both have a driving vision of a personal manifest destiny. Yeltsin cast aside the old Soviet Union. Putin has spent the last 30 years trying to put it back together. Xi has even larger goals, on a world wide scale, a Xi Dynasty.

There is no negotiation with Putin or Xi. Trump the private citizen doesn’t have the credible power, even if appointed as a special envoy. Biden holds the position of actual authority, and it is questioned if he is even the one actually making the decisions. He has no credibility in Putin’s, or Xi’s, eyes, Best analogy I can think of is the scene when Jose Wales meets with TenBears. Only if the words of death in your guns are true, and it is believed that you will speak them, will your words of life also be true, and respected, when spoken. Everyone knew that Trump would pull the trigger if he felt it was needed. No one believes that Biden, or his current national security council, are a credible threat.

Not ir flares they burn out relatively quickly. I saw a report of one Ukrainian pilot already becoming an ace. Don’t really know what to believe. Things like that are really exaggerated.

DEFIANCE!

So rights aren’t endowed by God?

Good to know.

Countries don’t have rights.

Yeah I think the “Ghost” ace story is wishful thinking.

Trump as a broker? Are you ■■■■■■■ kidding me? Trump isn’t knowledgeable about anything when it comes to foreign relations. Also, weren’t you one of the ones saying Biden was making all this invasion nonsense up?

Putin’s endeavors may not be completely popular on the home front. Wonder how many of his own people he’ll butcher to justify his blood lust?

There’s a lot of pro-Ukrainian sentiment in Russia proper.

The protests are a nice try…then oligarchs publicly showing testiness with Putin another nice try.

But if Russia wins quickly and doesn’t suffer too much economic pain, all will be forgiven.

The protests don’t look like they are broad-based enough…yet.

I don’t agree with the analysis, but this is one of the first Russian casualty numbers we’ve seen. 450.

Give me a break with this “world knowledge” ■■■■■■■■■ According to many Obama was the most knowledgeable person ever, yet completely got Russia wrong.

Propaganda. Have to keep hopes up.

If Putin wins quickly, then we look really bad.

Who thought Obama was “the most knowledgeable ever”? Especially when it came to foreign policy?

Lol France’s epic and failed attempt to repeatedly inform Trump that France cannot cut a separate trade deal due to being part of the common market springs to mind.

Let’s definitely make the single most ignorant on foreign policy president in modern history a diplomat.
