the thing to do here is hard, but simple. ukraine should give up crimea and the donbass in exchange for peace and nato membership.

Nice map of how screwed the Russian Kyiv forces are. They are completely encircled and the future ain’t looking bright.

They must not have got the news that Putin was really just trying to take the Donbas. Got a little lost too far west.

That is the unconfirmed internet rumor I referenced yesterday.

Still in my mind it is unconfirmed… I think that that map is too optimisitc for Ukriane. Others I have seen show Ukraine hold Makariv… Russia isn’t completely cut off but there are around 10,000 Russians who are in the process of getting surrounded.

They haven’t seemed to make any advanced West of Kyiv but are pushing back east of Kyiv.

except it can’t happen. so long as there is an unresolved conflict nato rules do not allow them to be admitted. which is why the whole nato expansion thing has always been a red herring.

Yes is true. How many days after the invasion did it take for Biden to include a ban on Russian oil and removing Russia’s most favored nation status for trade? He only did that after repeated pleas from Pelosi and Schumer to do so.

Watch the video Jezcoe posted with the Dugin interview and how Russia views economic war the same as traditional war. Then today the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov listen to that speech and look at the way they are talking. They are talking that they are in a war of total annihilation with the west.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Friday took aim at the sanctions the United States and other countries have imposed on Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine, saying he believes that the West has declared “total war” on Russia.

Lavrov made his comments during a meeting in which he described actions that Western nations have taken in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as “a real hybrid war,” adding that "total war was declared on us," The Associated Press reported.

Lavrov also said that he believes the West has a goal "to destroy, break, annihilate, strangle the Russian economy, and Russia on the whole," according to the AP."

There needs to be an off ramp and quit poking a nuclear juggernaut. We already see they don’t have the funds to hardily take Ukraine. How could they ever take NATO? NATO is irrelevant at this point the emperor has been see without pants as a paper tiger. 6000-12000 nukes depending on which source is correct and those unlike the rest of the equipment do go boom. If people like me are wrong and it was all a big bluff then it’s no big deal I will say I am sorry for getting excited but if people like a few us are right then we have 30 minutes to make our peace.

Over Ukraine? They wouldn’t sacrifice everything for us. If anything NATO just needs to have missile defense and air force the Russian army is a joke this is why a lot of us were saying for so long China is the enemy meaning they can compete with us economically Russia never could now their GDP Is less of that of Italy.

I think Russia will set of a chemical weapon if there luck doesn’t turn around or a statemen doesn’t stand up.

I don’t think Putin wants an offramp.

He wants a win.

He still thinks that he can get it.

Because Biden foresaw the problems with the oil sanctions-which you©️ are aware of, because you©️ wasted no time in pointing out the adverse effects.

All of that said… IMO Zelensskyy screwed up the run up to the war in not believing that Putin was going to invade.

I don’t think that there were plans for evacuation of civilians and people got killed because of it.

Hindsight is 20/20 but that mistake is on him.

Yeah I thought it was weird that Zelensky didn’t believe that Putin was going to invade. But maybe that was just a brave face and really they did believe the intelligence reports that pointed to total war?

There is nothing weird about it. Most rational people thought Putin would move into Doneski and Luhansk maybe secure water resources for Crimea and call it good. Unfortunately, Putin had other ideas, the rationale of which are now clearly questionable.
