It will have consequences of course. Putin has his GRU and FSB inner circle, and the Wagner Group (possibly a GRU cover instead of contractors). The oligarchs could represent a threat, but Putin will not hesitate to kill anyone, including them, who he perceives as a domestic threat. And the oligarchs are not some shadow council actually running the country. They have survived at his pleasure, and are under his intelligence service’s watch.

Let us not be hasty, the small one has not provided it’s bona fetti to give credible commentary,… yet.

The great thing about being an old warrior is that you have a copy of your 2-1, 214, and a 3 ring binder of award citations and service school diplomas to verify boma fetti. Who knows, maybe it has the same.

Like I said, we have an expert here. Maybe you (he/she) can solve the human condition.

What are the chances e7air Putin gets upset with what he perceives as the world turning on him and Russia and says ■■■■ it and launches the 12000 nukes. Is that that something we should be thinking about.

The world is turning on him. There’s nothing we can do about that, even if we wanted to.

I can see that I am wandering what the chances are he goes full nuclear. From what I have read those missiles take 30 minutes to get here. Not even time to go out and buy toilet paper.

Well, that’s the thing about the world we live in - and have lived in, for the last 75 or so years.

Putin has the power to end the world. So does the President of the United States. That’s just the reality.

Putin has to know there’s no winning a nuclear exchange - this has been well-understood by both sides for at least 50 years.

If you’re asking if he’ll just destroy the world rather than lose, I doubt it. But it’s not out of the realm of possibility, and hasn’t been for a long time.

No I don’t mean lose I mean like if the people go hungry there he is humiliated and instead of stepping down like no dictator ever does he decides to go down and takes us with him. I mean he is talking nuclear war right now. The same people saying he wouldn’t invade Ukraine are saying he won’t go nuclear I am starting to take his crazy self more at his word.

It’s possible. But it’s been possible since the 50s - and there’s nothing we can do about it.

I will be sure to shed a tear.
