Walmart cracks down on guns

Once a year, I go into Walmart and purchase a hunting license. I do so because when I use a credit card, it actually cost them to sell me the license. Opening day of dove season was this past Monday so I made my annual trek into Walmart the Sunday prior. They have a new policy where they charge a $2 fee on license purchases. It looks as though now, I’ll never go into one again.

With only $514 Billion in review, how will they survive…

We are able to purchase on-line in PA.

Very convenient, just need to make sure you are on time for antlerless tags.

im pretty sure it doesnt cost walmart money to sell you a hunting license, i would expect whatever commission they get for selling the license outweighs any credit card fee

Actually no, we just have several established locations close by. The town I live in is essentially a bedroom community, no decent jobs here so most people work out of town and do their major shopping where they work.
Hell, this town does not even have a halfway decent place to eat. Just the fast food chains, for a decent meal you have to leave town…

Well for 1000 rounds thru bulkammo.com shipping is 20 and change. I spend that much in gas when I go shopping if we take the 1500 to Columbus.

I live in rural NW Ohio, no gun shop in the main town but 35 mins north or west and have a few to choose from.

If there is demand then the market will take care of the issue. Someone should open a gun shop to meet the demand. If the market does not create a shop that meets your need, your one option would be to become a liberal and have the government mandate gun shops open to meet the needs of underserved communities.

Oddly enough, my first ever gun purchase was from Wal-Mart. Picked up a Mossberg 702 Plinkster. Turns out, the price, as low as it felt to me at the time, was a huge rip-off. I’ve never bought anything firearm related from them since.

Ammo is cheap as dirt online, and great gun deals don’t even have be sought. 'Murica!
