Voter Intimidation

Disturbing story out of Arizona this past week, several groups of masked, armed men were camped out near early voting drop boxes.

A video shared by Grigg showed two individuals sitting in a parking lot, one perched on the tailgate of a truck while the other sat in a camp chair nearby. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two individuals were armed, Grigg tweeted.

The report comes days after an incident of voter harassment was reported in Mesa in which a voter said several people were “hanging out near the ballot dropbox filming and photographing my wife and I as we approached the dropbox and accusing us of being a mule,” according to The Washington Post.

I’m afraid this might be one of many instances of intimidation in the run up to the mid terms. I wonder what happened to lead to something like this???

Well using the Dinesh logic… using the cell phone geolocation of these “poll watchers” would show they are in fact mules!

Quick someone tell the authorities!!

Not saying things like this don’t happen but at the same time what I am hearing is that they are breaking turn out records. Is it possible this is exaggerated. I guess it’s possible to have voter intimidation and record turn out, or is this possibly being overstated.

This is the logical outcome from years of conspiracy theory messaging coming from news media and politicians.

no, i care enough to display the hypocrisy.

if a person lets someone intimidate them, its their problem. man up.

this whole notion of needing government to protect our rights from other citizens is insane, its the government we need to protect our rights from.

You should watch the video you put up… it is quite funny in regards to this thread.

It is…except the man with badge and billy club was asked to leave, and he did, without incident.

The other man was a certified poll watcher…just like his GOP counterpart who shot the video.

And no one ever reported to the election hotline or the election judge for that precinct that they were approached, harassed, or intimidated by these guys. I can tell you as an election judge myself that there will people who WILL report even the slightest bit of what they think is trouble. During the primary alone, I has to ask at least five people (their party affiliation was split 3-2…I won’t say in which direction) to leave because they were either lecturing people in line that we were using Dominion ballot scanners so watch out for fraud or else making snide comments at people who were wearing Trump/GOP/MAGA themed shirts.

So while many people won’t speak up if they feel threatened, a lot will…especially in this day and age.

Now…imagine this same scene…only at a ballot drop box where there’s no election judge and no constable to deal with potential issues.

The men in Arizona were armed.

It was wrong then and its wrong now. If your to the left or right and your spending your time hanging out at these places your a sad ■■■■■■ that needs to get a life.

Idiotic self proclaimed tough guys trying to make some idiotic point.

The solution, of course, is to make sure you’re packing heat when you go to the drop box.

Because that of course is the totally sane and rational way to deal with this kind of thing…

Just man-up.

The person who said this has obviously never seen the really aggressive tactics that happen on Election Day.

Someone or a group of someone’s who is blocking your path to the door is not a “choice” you are making (and this happens too…a lot!)
