Just because a person has an occupation that is not teaching does not mean they don’t know as much and a lot of times more the teacher sitting on their butt in the classroom.

Probably best to ask someone involved with Virginia schools, possibly as a parent. They are the ones who made their decisions based on what they observe.

Who has a more intimate knowledge of a child’s dreams, aspirations, abilities and interests? The teacher that deals with the child along with dozens of others on a part time basis, or the parent that raises the child full time?
Yes, parents are by far more equipped to understand what should be taught.
