I have early access but my daughter and grandson here until Saturday.

You cannot use existing characters, everything is new and grinding from scratch.

I took part in the server slam a few weeks ago and the game was fantastic.

Blizzard have knocked it out of the park with this installment in the franchise. Just hope the MTX dont become too onerous.

I paid my hundred tonight. I guess I’ll start from scratch and use my 20 lvl jump on a second character. So far no notice about entering early. I hope it’s a good one. I wish my 6 button mouse was still functioning. I don’t like using my 12 button mouse on Diablo. Maybe it’s fixable if it’s just the cord.

I did get into the game and played a couple hours. So far it is a regular Diablo. A world full of careless creatures leaving gold all around.

Paid your hundred?

Is that a special edition?

WW

Yes its the Digital Deluxe edition which gives you among other things four days early access which started last night at 7pm EST.

@rp5x5 just install, open the game and login. You do not need an invite or code.

First 1000 players to 100 in hardcore mode will get there names immortalized on a statute that Blizzard is commissioning.

Everyone was predicting server issues last night but the early access launch was pretty much a success. I know some PS5 players had an error code issue but I think that was resolved pretty quickly.

Outstanding!

Diablo 4 is worth every penny I spent on the preorder.

Gameplay mechanics are smooth and intuitive and for once a Diablo game has a really engaging story.

Running a Barbarian Whirlwind build and Currently level 33 and still in Act 1. Taking my time to complete all the side quests and dungeons and loving every minute of it. Once I complete the main campaign will start a Rogue character.

The wife has not seen a lot of me since Saturday afternoon and she will see less of me as I am buying it for my Xbox so I can remote play on my phone while we are having “quality time” together ..

I just downloaded it last night on PS5. I wanted to wait for the regular release and make sure the servers were good. I’m always iffy about always online titles because of that.

Soon as I get off work today ooh boy. Now just time to decide which class I’m gonna play. I played a Crusader in Diablo III (I was a late bloomer with III; I didn’t pick it up until the PS4 rerelease that included the Crusader class and the first expansion). I think I’m gonna go for either a Sorcerer or a Necromancer this time around to start with and experiment with the other classes in seasonal builds.

Update: decided to go Sorcerer. I like the late game build opportunities.

Picked up Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Addition for 10 bucks on Steam. It’s normally 30 bucks. This next winter will be packed with platformers and dungeon crawlers.

That’s a fantastic game. Great choice.

I just keep scooping up one or two at a time when they go on sale for 10 bucks or less. Between this newfound love of old style games, the guitar, and getting back into drawing, winter time might finally start getting a little less “I wanna go fly!!!” for a change. I hate those 6 months of anticipation.

The 10 marked with red dots are the ones I haven’t played yet. There are 4 more that I haven’t finished. At this rate I’ll never be without a fresh play on a metroidvania ever again, especially with the genre gaining so much traction this past decade. :sunglasses:

Lots of great games there.

I have been re-playing the original Deus Ex games.

The low priced 2D games are cheap for a reason. kids can’t afford the expensive, 3D games, especially from the poor areas :money_mouth_face:

Which is why Gamepass is such a great option.

Even better if like me you have never paid a penny for Gamepass thanks to my obsession with the Microsoft Rewards points program. Got my Series X for $0. Though that did take a few years of never missing a single point.

Portal Reloaded just got a Co-op upgrade with 20 new test chambers. If you already own Portal 2, this is a free (mind-bending) mod on Steam.

We got game pass last month. Downloaded Goldeneye. Worth the $15/month in my book.

I gotta say, I really like how it plays on the Xbox.

I don’t remember how I pulled it off - and I’m not sure what I’m paying now - but I got at least a year of Gamepass for like $1.

This was a few years ago.

I had to relearn, been 20 years. The only thing I don’t like about the thumb sticks is that it’s too easy to mess up your up down look set. With the dpad, you can dial it in at a certain range and catch a torso to head shot without aiming.

My son thinks Golden Eye sucks, though. He’s spoiled on good graphics.

And I spank him at it. Maybe that’s got a little to do with it.
