CDKeys and Eneba have steam codes for Elden Ring for about $47. Not a massive discount which is not surprising given the success and popularity of the game.
I have used both sites a lot and never had any issues with my purchases.
Next steam sale will be halloween.

I claimed the code and added it to my microsoft library. Only issue is it wants to install via the microsoft store, which is disabled along with Windows Update on my machine. It’s there though, so I’ll come back to it sometime this winter.

Does Stable Diffusion count as a “video game”? I’m having some wicked-ass fun with it either way.

This was the very first, completely original work of art, painted by my computer, at my request, when I asked it for a, “Black Cat, DaVinci” and we’ve been making insanely awesome things ever since.
You old-fashioned VFX artists better beware.

Epic Games store has Fallout 3 GOTY edition for free right now. For me this is the best Fall Out game of all time.
Go grab it now.

MATN and Gopher are doing FO3 let’s plays in different styles of using a recently completed total conversion mod called “Tale of Two Wastelands”. It merges FO3 and FO NV into a single game where you can play both locations in a single game.
You basically pay both games using FO NV mechanics.
MATN is projecting this as being a long 100% playthrough with his typical commentary style. Gopher’s playthrough is different as he is an immersive character based style. He’s not a gamer playing, he * * IS * * the character he creates so you are hearing the characters inner mental dialog (which is freaking hilarious!!!).
Both are really interesting.

I am morbidly unimpressed with Epic’s excuse for an installer.
This better be something worth that 38 gigs of crap.
If anyone likes turn based strategy RPGs I will say that Triangle Strategy on Switch is fantastic.
It’s got a better plot of medieval political intrigue than Game of Thrones.
It’s supposed to be coming to PC at some point. I would say wait for that version. While I love the game (just completed the first of four endings) the performance is pretty poor. Being such a slow paced game it isn’t a big deal, but the framerate really chugs on Switch on the bigger maps when you’re rotating the camera.
Still it’s a really good game. It feels like a spiritual successor to Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.
Speaking of Tactics Ogre, that is getting a rerelease finally. It’s no longer trapped on Super Famicom and PSP. Supposed to release early next year on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Might need to check that out.
I am a huge CIV player. So I am always looking at strategy rpgs.
I also wish Simcity would go back to its roots instead of the freemium model on app stores.

I have Triangle for Switch and its in my backlog. Currently playing No Mans Sky on Switch and its a fantastic port (except no MP).
FPS does not bother me on the Switch because I just play in handheld mode and I know there are tradeoffs for lying in bed or in my recliner and playing games.
I had the opportunity to try out a Steam Deck and while I love what Valve have done the deck felt clumsy and big. The Switch is far more comfy to hold for long periods of time. But then again that might be because of my very unmanly small hands.
Back in the day when giving fire control orders my section commander would shout “five knuckles to our left unless you are “nemesis” and then its 10 knuckles to the left

It’s already on my Steam wishlist. That game was the perfect, mindless, nostalgic RPG. I have zero expectations for the second one, but if it gets into a more in-depth plot, I wouldn’t complain.
