No, it really isn’t.

My son got a spanking when he was 4 for running into the street even though he was told many times not to do so.

Welp, talking to a 4 year old didn’t seem to do the trick, but the spanking was enough to get through to him and he didn’t do it again.

Better an alive child who got spanked than a dead one who’s parents think at that age they can be reasoned with.

Is one inflicting fear and/or pain…when one spanks a child?

Hopefully, a bit of both.

That is why some parents succeed while others do not.

Perfect application of communicating what words alone cannot to a child of that age.

Kids have been fighting in schools…well, since schools existed.

Today however, they have access to lethal weapons.

There is this…

The most-recent federal collection on school safety found that some types of violent crimes were on the rise as of the 2017-18 school year, though the figures still fell far below overall crime levels in schools in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Yep. I had a clay chimenea and was constantly pulling him away from it (it was burning wood and hot as hell) when he was a toddler.

No matter how many times I said, “HOT, don’t TOUCH” he kept trying to touch it. This went on and on with me picking him up and telling him again and again.

He kept persisting so I said to him, “mommy said don’t touch you will get hurt”. I let him touch it even though it was hard to do so.

Yup, he got burned and yup, he never touched it again. Nor did he touch anything else when mommy said, “don’t touch”.

Pre pandemic and pre remote learning.

Two full years behind socially.

When I was in high school, the rednecks used to drive their trucks into school parking lots with their hunting rifle mounted in the window.

No one cared, no one stole them.

Probably, because if they tried to they’d get their ass beaten to a pulp.

Yes…that info is not out yet.
And yes, it appears a global pandemic has affected schools in a negative way.

Prior to that…school violence was down. As things get back to normal, they will probably go back to those levels.

Unless the Dems are still in charge…if that is the case…mayhem and madness will soon follow!

Hunting rifle with a 30 round clip? Or a .22?

What does it matter?

Dems are fine. The progressive, lib left are the problem.

Is the Proverb now a poem?

Not a fan of FDR?

That proverb, came from a poem.

I’m not a fan of the progressive, lib left.

I consider myself an FDR Democrat, which is progressive.

So…not a fan of FDR?

When I was 7 or 8 my dad caught me playing with matches in the barn. I have no idea what my purpose was, but the tanning he gave my ass was the single best thing he could have done for me.

There are times when a message needs to be sent.

Camp is right.

You are wrong.

And to be honest making a child sit there with a mask on all day is way more abusive in my book that a quick whack on the butt when needed.
