US government gets worst score since 2011 in global corruption survey

As the title suggests, the US government scored a 71 on this survey, which is the worst score it has received since 2011. The survey looks at things like bribery, nepotism in government, and corrupt behaviors in the public sector.

The organization administering the survey cited breakdowns in checks and balances as well as the erosion of ethical norms as reasons for the downgraded score this year.
