Pardon my ignorance here, but how does in person voting constitute a threat to public health? It’s a GIGO (Get In Get Out) type transaction.
The anonymity factor has individuals making their choices in a booth & dropping them in a box. They have minimal interaction with volunteers checking in & getting that I Voted Today sticker.
Actually, absentee voting is NOT being forced on anyone. Under the preliminary injunction, all polling places and early voting would be open as normal and anybody wishing to vote in person would be free to do so.
Never seen the long lines, the hours long waits, the workers exposed to an endless queue of voters, the “booth” where hundreds of others have touched every surface ahead of you, the shared markers, having to touch the voter book to sign your name?
