There is no piercing that Unreality Bubble where every action by anyone or any group anywhere is defined by whether they like or hate Donald Trump.

For 70 years NATO has been an effective counter balance to Russia. Russia remains belligerent and NATO remains essential.
Trump unfortunately doesn’t realize this, or worse, he does but doesn’t care.
Europe has had seventy years to prepare defenses against Russian belligerence. They have skimped on their contribution to that need and left it to the US. If they still need the US with a significantly weakened foe, they have been incompetent for seventy years.

The US has been a counterbalance on Europe’s behalf.

On our behalf.
Do you think it is in America’s best interest to allow Russia to do as they wish in Europe? For us to leave NATO, the UN or any number of other world organizations makes us weaker.
An engaged American is a strong America, an isolationist America is a marginalized America. Take your pick.

The EU can stop Russia from doing what it wants in Europe.

I get it. Any world leader who complained about Trump is demonstrating Trump’s failure. Any world leader who agrees with Trump is placating a child.
In other words, there is no outward event that could prove you wrong.

I can only go by what I see. Trump often acts like a child, a spoiled child at that. World leaders laugh at him.
It’s truly sad.

It seems you’ve made your choice.
The Covid crisis? The Swine Flu? I mean seriously, if you’ve been paying attention, it’s clear they have a history of being wrong.
Another irresponsible rejection of multilateralism and international institutions.
