A growing number of liberal lawmakers are pledging to ‘dump’ Nancy Pelosi should they retake control of Congress this fall; easing concerns of moderate and centrist voters ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.
According to Politico, a “growing trend” is taking place in the Democratic Party, with more and more left-leaning legislators -such as Rep. Conor Lamb- saying they wouldn’t support Pelosi’s bid for Speaker of the House if the “blue wave” sweeps them into power.

“Whether you are someone who has been here a long time, a short time or a candidate running for office for the first time, people are being more vocal about how they feel about leadership of the party,” said Rep. Kathleen Rice.
