UK MPs Back Right to Die Legislation

Its only the first step in a long road to becoming law but MPs in the UK have voted to back the right for individuals with less than 6 months to live to seek to end their own life.

Obviously any law has to have robust safeguards to ensure no one is being coerced or other nefarious machinations but if someone is terminally ill then why not let them make this choice.

LOL… the first things the new lib regime supports, saving money on healthcare by killing off the elderly and infirm.

Soon to be an obligation…

It is far from a done deal. Far left MPs such as Diane Abbott oppose the legislation and Wes Streeting who is the Health Secretary has said he will oppose it.

You disagree?

murder before birth, murder before death… no right to life in the UK…

wait…

No idea what point you are trying to make.

The bill has a long way to go before its law.

Eh it’s better than how the UK used to do it. Go throw all those dudes in the meat grinder on the continent.

There is no “right to life” anywhere.

Seems like some are saying one must have permission from a government to die?

If a man commits suicide, what punishment should he receive?

If anyone is interested here is a link to the Oregon State’s Death with Dignity Act:

As far as I know, Oregon is the only state which has such an act.

That is a very misunderstood statement. It actually means “right not to have government take your life.”
