Very possible. Or other, more recent events.

That is also not what I was referencing with my initial comment. I didn’t throw out the word elitist.

I referenced the word regurgibleeting.

I like it. It is fitting in many ways. For any side. For many situations.

I don’t consider it elitist.

Quit trying to attribute things to me I did not say. You are the only one asserting I think I am better than liberals.

Except I never called people sheeple did I?

Go play in someone else’s garden.

ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  There were protests in my state and it’s as red as it gets.

Not that there’s anything wrong with protesting libs in government in general.

Philando Castile comes to mind as a tragic example of double standards applied to those with guns. People learn from cautionary tales like that.

No, nothing wrong it it.

But to make the claim the protests were only in states with liberal governors is a blatant falsehood.

Yes. I worry about it as well, no doubt far less than a young black male.

Was it close enough?
You still haven’t answered my question.

The protesters had a clear goal. Did bringing weapons, which they have a right to do, help or hurt them achieve their goals?

Yes.

Their goal is to force the change in the policy. The goal of the protest was to draw attention to the goal of changing the policy. The guns aided in attracting attention, so it helped.

Would you be carrying on about them if they hadn’t?

They didn’t want to be shot.

I don’t either.

Far less likely to happen to you being openly armed at a protest however. If you were to take part in one.

Probably true.

As someone who attended many protests while unarmed I have to admit that being shot never crossed my mind. I’ve been tear gassed a few times, but the effects of tear gas not long lived.

In three days we we be at the anniversary of one time I can remember protestors being shot in the United States. At Kent State University a group of draft dodgers threw rocks at rifle toting draft dodgers who opened opened fire. and killed four. The only lesson I can draw, is ā€œdon’t make armed draft dodgers feel insecure.ā€

There were National Guard units deployed to Vietnam. Did you serve?

Fair enough. I disagree with you. I actually think the MI governor went way to far in her orders and would agree with them to a point. But them arriving with weapons makes me think this was not a reasonable group that was willing to find a solution.
They simply wanted to protest and no answer would satisfy them, therefore i dismiss them.

And yet here you are, talking about them.

Oddly enough I don’t really have a problem with the bolded above. OG is terrible.

Sure. I would have been talking about them anyway. Doesnt bring them any closer to their goals.

Would you rather be right or would you rather win?
