The modern lib/prog wants desperately to believe that a committed husband/father & wife/mother are relics of the past and that they can easily be substituted by the “village” and/or by government programs. In reality though you raise a good point, what percent can actually be reached? Does the village and government really make good parents?

Epically so. Do we have school choice and track to vocational schools?

We deconstruct the nuclear family…

and they wonder why they develop trigger fingers in dark alleys.

my goodness

no wonder they skittish.

Did you write all of that?

And no, the generations before us were not taught just to pass the test.

Cameras in the classroom? Sounds like Big Brother. No thanks.

Nice strawman there…I know of no progs or libs that think like that…

Do you?

Or do you take Tweets seriously?

Correct. Conservatives don’t want it addressed at all. Nah one conservative lead group working to reduce inner city crime?

School choice is not an issue, when all the schools, no matter where they are, are held to the same standards, and meet them consistently. They are also funded equally.

I am Ok with track to vocational schools.

School choice applies to vocational schools as well.

Recall the BLM statement:

“We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children”

This type of ideology is absolutely part of modern liberalism/progressivism. I’m not arguing that everyone on the Left here holds such views 100%.

You’re wrong.

Here’s another statement from Guilds:

"What we can do, is revamp our education system, and that includes hiring and training good teachers, and paying them better. And adopting better systems. Teaching to the test, has failed.

I suppose if we did education better, with better outcomes in schools, that would help produce better people, and better parents."

In other words “the system/government.”

Prove it.

Show me where I said parents are not part of the equation.

I grew up in the late 60’s/ 70’s.
The kids in my neighborhood, knew all of our friend’s parents looked out for all of us…as did my parents. If one got out of line…we knew our parents would be made aware of what happen.

Also, parents used to work with teachers…and if a kid was out of line, the parents almost always sided with the teachers…

Today we have parents think they know how to teach, and kids know if they whine to their parents…the parents will many times side with the kid…

Not sure how that happen. but I am sure many of you blame the libs.

Do your research.

I hear BLM just bought another mansion. Maybe you should do a 180?

It looked familiar…which is why I asked. It is customary to put a quote, in quotes.

Your anecdote illustrates your feelings …but not much more.

Your idea of cameras in the class room…not good.
