The use of the word “plantation” is obviously to invoke slavery. It is not productive.

That’s interesting. A longtime friend whose skin color is darker than my swarthy Italian shade and I were once discussing the use of what I consider an insult to another person of color calling them the “N” word. He smirked and simply said: “those dumbasses say that as a means of feeling superior to another and as a “term of endearment”.
I still believe it to be as insulting as being called a WOP or Dago.

Ask 50 conservatives what conservatism is and you’ll get 50 different answers. Hell, you’ll even see some of them start arguing with each other. This has happened many times over the last 17 years since I first joined.

Conservatives can have different opinions with the conservative ideology, but the core beliefs of the ideology is pretty universal, Low taxes, less regulations, small government, resistant to change, unfettered markets.

I long for the days of debating those topics, vs all the imaginary crap cons conjure up today.

We have all these racist stereotypes about black and brown people that they are poor and lazy and violent. But those same stereotypes don’t exist for white people.
