The left-wing’s full-fledged meltdown was captured perfectly on social media Wednesday, with pundits and liberal legislators sounding-off following Justice Anthony Kennedy’s announcement he would be leaving the Supreme Court in July.
The decision opens a coveted vacancy on the nation’s highest court and sets the stage for President Trump’s second Supreme Court appointee in 17 months.
The liberal response on Twitter was predictably vicious, with users referring to the decision as a “gut punch” that further threatened to “throw kerosene on the current dumpster fire that is America.”
