A recent report published by the United Nations slammed President Trump’s alleged “hatred for the poor” and America’s “cruel and inhuman” policies; ignoring the fact the data comes from the last year of President Obama’s second term in the White House.
According to Fox News, the report rips the Trump administration’s stance on welfare and the social safety net; claiming the recently passed GOP tax cuts were failing and the United States should reduce its military spending and focus on social programs.
“But, wait a minute: the U.N. report’s main contentions are based on the U.S. Census Bureau’s official poverty measure data for 2016 – the last full year of President Obama’s second term. So it would be absurd to say that private citizen Donald Trump had any responsibility for the many shortcomings of the Obama administration or any other administration in power before he became president,” writes Fox.
The scathing report comes as the United States economy continues to roar to life under President Trump; reducing unemployment and jobless claims to levels not seen in over 44 years.
